Peer Baneke charing a panel on childhood MS

Peer Baneke talking to Elin Katrine Vestly, mother of a child with MS, and Rogier Hintzen MD, head of the ErasMS centre.

There were many highlights of EMSP’s spring conference, including:

  • The official launch of EMSP’s project, MS Nurse Pro.
  • A presentation by Dr. Pasquale Calabrese on the psychosocial aspects of MS
  • A talk by Gisela Kobelt on using economic data to advocate for people with MS
  • Talks from adventurers Lori Schnider and Steinar Årset who both explained how participating in physical challenges helped them to overcome the mental challenges of MS

On top of all this our CEO Peer Baneke chaired a session on childhood MS, where we heard from Elin Katrine Vestly, who is the mother of a child with MS, and Rogier Hintzen MD, head of the ErasMS centre. Both talked about the unique challenges of treating a child with pediatric MS.
