This study evaluated the long term changes in cognitive function in MS patients treated with IFN-β-1b and it provides support for the importance of early intervention in treatment.
Clinical impact of early brain atrophy in clinically isolated syndromes
The results from this study showed that during the first year after a clinically isolated syndrome, patients who develop a second attack during the follow up period have larger brain volume losses than those who do not.
