Council

Council is MSIF’s supreme governing body with overall responsibility for reviewing the activities and defining the policies and direction of the organisation. Council’s Nominating Committee elects the MSIF Board.

Council is made up of three delegates and three alternate delegates from each Full Member Society. Each Full Member Society in good standing (having paid membership dues in the last 12 months) appoints one voting member. Associate Members and Full Members not in good standing are not eligible to vote at Council. Currently MSIF has 42 Member Societies, 36 of which are Full Members.

Council meets biennially and Full Member Societies in good standing nominate voting representatives for each session.
