The MSIF International Medical & Scientific Board (IMSB) is a unique group of medical professionals, bringing together some 100 experts in multiple sclerosis. Its purpose is to advise MSIF's Council and Board on matters of MS medical research, professional education, professional information and services.
All MSIF member societies nominate up to two representatives to the IMSB.
The IMSB Executive Committee is comprised of 8 members. The role of the Committee is to ensure that the IMSB and its work groups fulfil their stated role and responsibilities.
Chairman of the IMSB
Professor Alan Thompson, MD, FRCP, FRCPI is the Director of the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, University College, London. He will take up his new role as Director on 1st April 2008.
Prof Chris Polman is Professor of Neurology at the Free University and Clinical and Scientific Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Centre at the VU Medical Centre in Amsterdam.
