Iceland
Berglind Gudmundsdóttir
Berglind was diagnosed with MS in 1982. She worked as a teacher for children with special educational needs for more than 20 years and is now retired.
Berglind has been involved in the MS Society of Iceland for many years and has been Treasurer since 2007. Her work with the society has also involved her travelling around Iceland raising awareness of MS and participating in various local level committees.
Berglind is married with two children, aged 15 and 24 years old. |

India
Jyoti Ravindra Ronghe
Jyoti was diagnosed with MS in October 1998. Since 2000, she has been the Managing Committee Member of MSSI Pune Chapter and was the driving force behind MSSI Pune Chapter's successful 'Human Chain' awareness-raising project.
She also regularly provides counselling to people with MS and their families. |

Iran
Bahareh Soltani Bahareh lives with her family in Iran. She enjoys playing the piano and painting. With her mother, she helped found a National MS Society in Iran. |

Ireland
Allen O'Connor (Chairman) Allen is a past Chairman and Treasurer of the MS Society of Ireland and one of its three Honorary Lifetime Members. He is on the MSIF Board and a past treasurer of the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP). Allen has been a disability activist since his retirement from banking due to his MS. |

Israel
Chanoch Weil Chanoch is a lecturer in physics and computing. He founded MS-listserv a virtual community for people with MS, for which he received the Preminger award, an international award for volunteering. |

Italy
Claudio Conforti (Vice Chairman) Claudio trained and worked as a chemical engineer. Since 2003 he has represented AISM as a board member of the Italian Federation for the Overcoming of Disability (an umbrella organisation of more than 40 different groups for disabled people). In 2007 he was elected as a member of AISM’s national Board.

Naomi Banno Naomi is a sociology graduate and has worked as a nursery school teacher. She is now the Director of the Japan Society for the Patients of MS. She enjoys reading, music and is a dog lover. |
