Guy De Vos, Belgium

Guy began his career in B2B techno-commercial sales - working in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong-Kong, Taiwan, The Philippines, Indonesia and South Korea. Since 1990 he has worked as an accountant for Beschutte Werkplaats "De Merel" vzw, a company that provides support in the workplace for people with disabilities. He is currently a financial analyst and internal auditor for Werkplaats "De Kemphaan" vzw, another, larger company that provides support for people with disabilities, and works part-time as a B2B techno-commercial coordinator in a private company.

Guy was diagnosed with MS in 1981 and became a member of the Belgian MS Society in 1986. He presided over his local Persons with MS Committee from 1987 – 1997 and is currently President of the Belgian MS Society Persons with MS Committee. Guy is Vice President and Administrator of the Belgian MS Society and Chief Editor of the society’s periodical review De Sleutel. He also administrates for "Hove te Donc" vzw, an assisted living programme for people with MS.

Guy has been married since 1977, his wife, Mireen, is his carer.
