Raising money through events can be done in a number of ways...
JustGiving
Create a personalised page for your fundraising event or special day on JustGiving.com website. Then invite friends and family to make a donation to help you raise money or celebrate.
What Is JustGiving?
THE EASY WAY TO RAISE SPONSORSHIP!
No more dealing with cash or cheques, no more hassling friends and family.
All you do is create your own Internet sponsor page, email it to all your friends and get them to donate quickly and easily online with a credit or debit card.
Just visit www.JustGiving.com/msif/donate go to the 'Raise Money for this Charity' area and then 'Create Your Page', select the one you are interested in, then follow the simple instructions to personalise your page. By creating your own online sponsor page you can:
- Include a photo and personal message
- Email the page to all your friends
- Watch your total grow on screen
- Update your target amount as often as you like
- 28% tax bonus added to UK donations
UK Donor?
We have teamed up with JustGiving, the UK charity website that automatically reclaims 28% tax on every donation from a UK taxpayer as Gift Aid – making it quicker for you to reach your target amount and ensuring more money goes to help our cause. Its secure servers mean all card information is totally safe.

SETTING UP YOUR OWN SPONSORSHIP PAGE
You can simply follow the instructions on the website, but for extra assistance, here are all the steps from the beginning. If you get stuck, please contact JustGiving's helpdesk – details below.
If you haven't registered yet, complete the required details. Registering with JustGiving only takes a minute, but is needed to process your supporters' donations and when appropriate reclaim Gift Aid Tax. Click the continue button and you can now personalise your sponsorship page! (If you have already registered with JustGiving simply login using your user name (email address) and password and you will go straight through to the 'Personalise your Page' area).
When you have finished entering your special greeting, thank you message and target amount, click to submit the details. You will have an opportunity to submit a photo too. Don't worry – this can be done at any time. Click to preview your page where indicated and you can make any changes until you are happy with your page. You can return to your personal fundraising zone at any time to make updates or changes to your page.
You will be sent a confirmation email from JustGiving that will include the unique web address of your page, which you can email on to your potential sponsors.
