  MSIF Supporting Organisations

In countries with an MSIF Member Society, other organisations working in the field of MS can contribute to and benefit from MSIF activities by becoming MSIF Supporting Organisations. There is no limit to the number of Supporting Organisations in a country.

Although Supporting Organisations are not MSIF members, organisations will benefit by:

  • receiving regular information, such as Making Connections;

  • receiving advance warning of and preparatory materials for selected global activities such as World MS Day;

  • participating in MSIF's global surveys and through this representing those people affected by MS who are linked to their organisation;

  • where appropriate, being consulted on MSIF policy;

  • having their activities featured in Making Connections;

  • participating in national networking with other Supporting Organisations and Member Societies;

  • having the option of sending one observer to each Board meeting and Council meeting, without being entitled to vote;

  • participating where appropriate in MSIF capacity building programmes;

  • submitting nominations for MSIF Nicholson and Wolfensohn awards, where the Member Society does not make such nominations.

If you are interested in becoming an MSIF Supporting Organisation contact Zoe Burr to request the MSIF Guidelines on Supporting Organisations and an application form.
