Making Connections
MSIF Global Dinner Party 2006 a great success!
In February 2006, MS supporters around the world hosted Global Dinner Party events for family and friends to raise awareness of MS and raise funds for MS projects. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Plasma cerebrosterol and magnetic resonance imaging measures in multiple sclerosis
This study found correlations between the cerebrosterol-cholesterol ratio in plasma of MS patients and conventional MRI parameters, while investigating the potential of cerebrosterol as a marker of neurodegeneration.

Home versus outpatient administration of intravenous steroids for multiple-sclerosis relapses: a randomised controlled trial
This study compares the efficacy, safety, cost and patient experience when intravenous steroids for acute relapse are given at home or in hospital. Co-ordination of care was significantly improved in the home setting, and sometimes cost was reduced, with other outcome measures equivalent between the groups.
