Randomized, double-blind, dose-comparison study of glatiramer acetate in relapsing-remitting MS

This study on the safety and efficacy of high-dose Glatiramer Acetate in reducing MRI activity and preventing clinical relapses in people with relapsing MS concluded that this dosage is safe and well tolerated, and seems to be more effective than the lower currently approved dose.

Progression of non-age-related callosal brain atrophy in multiple sclerosis: a 9-year longitudinal MRI study representing four decades of disease development

The authors looked at reduction in brain volume in patients with MS, evaluating it through the progressive thinning of corpus callosum, a white matter structure in the middle of the brain. They found it to be a useful method to measure brain atrophy over time in people with MS.

Diffusion tensor imaging of post mortem multiple sclerosis brain

This post-mortem study on brains of people with MS suggested that DTI, a recently developed imaging technique, can reflect the loss of both myelin and neurons in people with MS.
