Corpus callosum damage and cognitive dysfunction in benign MS

The authors used MRI techniques to study an important white matter structure commonly affected in MS in people with a long disease duration and little physical disability. They found an association between damage to this structure and cognitive function.

Neuropathic pain behaviours in a chronic-relapsing model of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)

This study investigated pain sensitivity using an animal model of MS and suggested that it may be due inflammation and scarring in the spinal cord.

MRI as an outcome in multiple sclerosis clinical trials

The authors investigated whether changes in the number of lesions in the brain can predict progression of disability in people with MS. They concluded that MRI changes do not help very much in predicting disability.

Genomic NGFB variation and multiple sclerosis in a case control study

The role of genes in the pathogenesis of MS is complex. The authors found an association between a gene called NGFB and MS, suggesting that it may be involved.
