Minocycline has been used as an acne treatment for over thirty years, and now its anti-inflammatory properties could be an important factor in fighting the symptoms of MS.
The Canadian MS Society’s Scientific Research Foundation is funding a new CAN$4 million multi-centre clinical trial, due to begin in 2008, into using minocycline to delay the progress of multiple sclerosis after promising initial results.
