The MS Society of Namibia has teamed up with fresh produce retailer Fruit and Veg City to help support people with MS.
"We thank Louis Peens (MD of Fruit and Veg City) for his wonderful fundraising drive, now into its second year. We also wish to acknowledge the cooperation of all the vegetable producers in the country in making this fundraising drive possible." John Mannheimer, Chairman MS Society of Namibia.
The MS Society of Namibia will receive a percentage of the sales from Fruit and Veg’s four branches in Namibia. The 2008 fundraising campaign with Fruit and Veg raised N$70,000 (US$9,000) in three months. Funds raised in 2009 will go towards the Society’s aims of providing advice and assistance to people with MS and establishing a comprehensive database of all people with MS in Namibia.
