Two French societies have issued a Special Call for Research Proposals in ‘Immunointervention in demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system’.
The ARSEP Foundation (Fondation pour l’Aide à la Recherche sur la Sclérose En Plaques) and AFM (Association Française contre les Myopathies) will provide support of up to 350,000 Euros per year for one to three scientific projects of high calibre over two years.
Research projects from basic science to clinical research will be considered provided they are primarily focused on the understanding and treatment of demyelinating diseases using immunological approaches. Projects must involve the participation of at least one French group.
Funding for laboratory expenses, equipment and fellowships can be requested. Applications will be evaluated on their international competitiveness and the originality of the proposed work.
How to apply
Application forms are available from ARSEP website and the AFM website (follow the 'Call for Proposals' link).
The application forms must be completed by the principal investigator and returned by email to scientific@arsep.org scientific@arsep.org no later than 30 November 2011. Notification is expected in January 2012.
