The Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) held a medical seminar on 13 February at the Hall of Culture, Nehru Centre, Worli.
Chief Guest Dr. N. H. Wadia, a neurologist who has constantly supported MSSI since its inception in 1985 began the seminar with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, aided by all of the speakers and sponsors.
Speakers at the seminar were mainly healthcare professionals, such as Dr. Khadilkar, Consultant Neurologist at Bombay Hospital and Head of Neurology at Grant Medical College and J. J. Group of Hospitals, who talked about ‘Managing symptoms of MS’.
Other presentations included ‘How to deal with differing moods in MS’, by Dr. Ruksheda, a psychiatrist whose specialty is dealing with young people, and ‘Current treatment options in MS’ by Dr. Nirmal Surya, a visiting neurologist at Nair Hospital and neurologist at Sir Harkisandas Hospital, also Treasurer of The Bombay Neurosciences Association. The seminar was very informative and provided a range of useful information. The President of MSSI, Mr. Firdose Vandrevala, addressed the audience at the end of the seminar and thanked all of the speakers for their informative presentations.
