Dr Bjorn Sperling will give a lecture (in English) on cognitive problems that might occur in MS during a meeting of the MS Society of Iceland. The meeting will take place today, 19 June, at 18.30 and will be webcast on MS-félag Íslands website.
Dr Bjørn Sperling graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 1986 and worked initially as a clinical research assistant at University of Copenhagen in the field of neuroimaging in acute stroke. Gradually Dr Sperling moved into the field of MS and completed specialist training as a neurologist in 2003 at the university department of Neurology at Rigshospitalet, working in the MS clinic. Since 2003 Dr Sperling has managed the MS out-patient clinic at Hillerød Hospital north of Copenhagen and developed it into Nordsjælland Multipel Sclerosis Center including day hospital and rehabilitation beds. Dr Sperling's main interest in MS has focused on the cognitive problems. Bjørn Sperling has lectured on neuroimaging, stroke and MS at universities, hospitals and scientific meetings in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, USA, Canada and Japan.
