On 15 March 2009, the MS Society India (MSSI) Delhi chapter held a fundraising event to mark their 20th anniversary and launch World MS Day.
As previewed on 3 March 2009 the MSSI event was held at the Lalit Hotel, New Delhi. Well known ballad, jazz and gospel singer Sonam Kalra entertained guests and helped raise awareness about MS by attracting media coverage. "The members of MSSI work tirelessly to help people with MS and I’m glad to be able to in my own small way," Sonam Kalra.
