National Institute for Clinical Excellence, UK, launch new guidelines on the management of the MS.

The UK MS Society has welcomed the launch of the new National Institute for Clinical Excellence guidelines for the NHS on the management of the disease on Wednesday 26 November 2003.
Mike O'Donovan, chief executive of the UK MS Society, said, "The new guidelines are the most far-reaching step ever taken towards better management of MS. They promote good practice, bring together evidence and guidance for care and treatment. They offer links beyond healthcare into social care and employment. They also set a benchmark which will inform the National Service Framework on Long Term Conditions, due in 2005".
