Romania: project to improve the lives of young people with MS
The Romanian MS society is implementing a resolution in collaboration with the European Youth Parliament Romania to the Committee on Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, designed to help young people with MS. Vladimír Spidla, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities commented, “People with disabilities must become active players in the internal market. It needs to become a reality for all, including people with disabilities. Accessibility to goods, services and infrastructures are a precondition for full enjoyment of fundamental rights of people with disabilities.”

Last month the society organised a conference to teach young people affected by MS how to identify their problems and devise solutions, also to elaborate upon the motion for resolution.

The conference was attended by 70 young people affected by MS, representatives from the European Youth Parliament and local and central public authorities.
