NICE, the UK Government's drug watchdog, has recommended against the prescription of one of the most effective drugs so far developed to treat MS, the UK MS Society says.
Based on data from clinical trials and the cost of Tysabri, NICE has advised that the efficacy of Tysabri is not proven or that the cost is simply too much. The MS Society is urging its members to take part in a four-week NICE consultation before a final decision is reached.
