This year, MSIF received nominations from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Romania, Slovakia and South Africa. Dale Kempen was chosen not only for the support she provides to her husband, Ken, but for her continued involvement in the Alberton MS Support Group.

Since 2007, the award winner has been presented with UK£500 to go towards the cost of a product, activity or service. Dale will be putting her money towards the purchase of an electric hoist to assist a fellow caregiver in carrying out their support for a person with MS.
