The 2007 MS Global Dinner Party (GDP) is less than two weeks away and preparations are well underway by both national MS societies and individuals around the globe.
In Ontario, Canada a ‘Summer in Winter’ pig roast and BBQ will take place alongside a ‘Bring your own topping’ ice cream party. A gourmet chef tasting and silent auction will be held in Alberta and a ‘Chilli and Chowder’ event in Saskatchewan.

In Switzerland, two parties will be offering the Swiss specialities of ‘raclette’ and ‘fondue’ and the Dutch MS Society, Stichting MS Research, are hosting a prestigious dinner and international art auction in The Hague for over 100 guests including 26 ambassadors.
Spain will be joining the event with two parties in Madrid. One, a 'chocolait party' will be held in the FEMM (Fundación Esclerosis Múltiple de Madrid) rehabilitation centre. Parties are also planned in Cantabria and Bilbao.
Events will also be taking place throughout Germany where over 56 events were held in 2006. This year the theme in Germany is 'local action for a global impact'.

Hosts in Victoria, Australia will be holding a BBQ and cocktail party whilst a Curry Night is being organised in the UK. In the USA events are set to take place in New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia and Texas. Individuals have also joined this global event in Denmark and Belgium.
The funds raised both nationally and internationally will help to promote awareness of MS and support the work of national MS societies and MSIF in the global movement to find the cause and a cure.
MSIF would like to thank the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Deutsche Multiple Sklerose Gesellschaft Bundesverband e.V. (DMSG) , Stichting MS Research, Schweizerische Multiple Sklerose Gesellschaft, Federación Española para la Lucha contra la Esclerosis Múltiple (FELEM), Multiple Sclerosis Australia (MSA) and MS Society of New Zealand Inc (MSSNZ) for their support, co-ordination and promotion of the event.
