31 August 2010: A team of awareness raising entrepreneurs set off from New York to raise funds and understanding of Multiple Sclerosis by flying across Europe.

Fly for MS, the brainchild of former Wall Street investor Andrei Floroiu (pictured above), sees a team of pilots fly more than 29,000 miles or 47,000 km (more than enough to circle the globe) with stops in 30 countries including The United States, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, and Portugal.
The aim of Fly for MS is to raise awareness of MS around the world by encouraging media interest leading to increased funding, research, and public support for the cause.
MS societies across Europe have welcomed the Fly for MS project and will be meeting the plane when it lands. People with MS have been invited to take part and some lucky participants will have the opportunity to fly with the team. Some will take a pleasure trip, others will fly to MS centres or hospitals that they would otherwise be unable to reach.
MSIF would like to congratulate the Fly for MS team on their innovative idea and thank them for their commitment to ending MS.
