Has your MS society signed up to participate in the first ever World MS Day on Wednesday 27 May 2009?
40 MS organisations across the globe have now signed up for World MS Day. As the momentum builds more events are being organised. Activities planned so far include:
Argentina: request to the government to formally recognise the day
Belgium, Canada, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland: "Roll for MS" sponsored cycle/ motorbike event
Slovakia: dignified life with MS seminar
Turkey: concert and gala dinner
The first World MS Day will raise awareness about MS and build global solidarity for the MS movement. Mark your calendar now and tell your family, friends and colleagues to do the same. Look out for updates in Making Connections and on our website, including the 'call to action' and information about how MSIF will provide support to participating individuals, groups and organisations.
