A team from MSIF visited the Czech Republic last week, ahead of MSIF's 2007 Persons with MS Day and the autumn Board and Committee meetings which are being held in Prague.
Sue Tilley, Chair of MSIF's Persons with MS International Committee, Paul Rompani, Deputy Chief Executive, and Zoe Burr, International Programme Officer travelled to Prague to meet with representatives from the Czech MS Society and to see prospective venues for the 2007 Persons with MS Day and the MSIF Board and Committee meetings.
The Person's with MS Day, which will take place on 10 October, will be attended by around 500 people affected by MS and health professionals from around the world who will hear presentations from leading MS scientists.
As part of their visit, Sue, Paul and Zoe visited an employment centre which employs people with MS and works in partnership with the MS Society to teach work skills.
This year the Czech MS Society is celebrating its 15th anniversary, a year that will also be marked by the retirement of its President Jaroslav Zika. For more information about the Czech Republic MS Society, please click here.
