MSIF is delighted to announce that the US-based Multiple Sclerosis Coalition recently endorsed MSIF’s Principles to Promote the Quality of Life of People with MS (QoL Principles).
The Multiple Sclerosis Coalition, established in 2005, is an affiliation of independent US MS organisations dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life for all those affected by MS.
Its mission is to increase opportunities for cooperation and provide greater opportunity to leverage the effective use of resources for the benefit of the MS community.
The MS Coalition’s nine members include the Consortium of MS Centers (CMSC), the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA), the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (MSF), the National MS Society (NMSS), which is MSIF’s member society from the USA, and others.
The Consortium of MS Centers (CMSC), the National MS Society (NMSS) and the International Organization of MS Nurses (IOMSN) were consulted in the development of the QoL Principles and we are delighted to see that the MS Coalition has now joined the many MS organisations around the world that have formally acknowledged and endorsed the evidence-based findings.
Doug Franklin, President of the Multiple Sclerosis Coalition, said “The MS Coalition is delighted to officially endorse MSIF’s Quality of Life Principles and to attach them to the by-laws of our organisation.”
