On 6 November MSIF’s CEO, Peer Baneke travelled to Berlin to witness the German MS Society’s, Deutsche Multiple Sklerose Gesellschaft Bundesverband e.V. (DMSG), annual awards ceremony.

Christian Wulff, Prime Minister of Niedersachsen and Patron of the DMSG, presented awards to thank the volunteers and staff who give their energy to support people affected by MS e.g. through self help groups and support projects.

Peer Baneke, MSIF CEO and Phil Hubbe, a well-known German cartoonist, spoke about the forthcoming World MS Day on 27 May 2009. Phil has MS and has created many cartoons on the subject of MS and disabilities.

A new German information project from DMSG and Aktion Multiple Sklerose Erkrankter Landesverband was also presented at this event. "eTrain MS" is an interactive, on-line tutorial aimed at people with MS, their relatives and people who want to improve their knowledge of MS.
