Winner of the MSIF Evelyn Nicholson Award for International Caregiver of the Year 2006, Maria Fleta from Gniezno in central-western Poland, was recently honoured by the Gniezno District Authorities for the continued caregiving and support she provides for her husband, Marek.
On 12 February 2007, Maria attended a ceremony at the Gniezno Town Hall where she was presented with an inscribed silver salver and an MSIF certificate.
 In the photograph opposite Maria is being presented with the salver by Jerzy Zawadzki, Vice President of the Polish MS Society, while Krzysztof Ostrowski, Head of the Gniezno District Authorities, looks on.
