Former Du Pre grant recipient, Helen Tremlett, Sarah Philips, MSIF Chairman, and Alan Thompson, Institute of Neurology, UK, at the Research Alumni reception in Montreal.


Over 60 researchers and senior MS society staff attended the event which featured short presentations by seven alumni (former McDonald fellowship and Du Pre grants recipients) from around the world, followed by celebratory drinks.

The event began with an introduction from Sarah Philips, Chairman of MSIF followed by Prof. Xavier Montalban of MSIF’s International Medical and Scientific Board. The alumni presentations featured topics from central nervous system repair, MRI and genetics of MS to effects of sunlight and vitamin D and speakers included Prof Samuel Komoly our very first recipient of the Du Pre fellowship in 1985.
