Supporting people with MS in Cuba
On 1 March 2010, representatives from the Federación Española para la Lucha contra la EM (FELEM) visited Esclerosis Múltiple Cuba’s (EM Cuba) headquarters in Havana, as part of the MSIF Twinning Programme.

FELEM Treasurer, Sr José María Perelló, and Sr Luis Melero, FELEM supporter, presented EM Cuba President, Margarita Ruiz, and Chief Executive, María Elena Moscoso, with a laptop, a number of FELEM publications and office stationery. The laptop and office supplies will enable EM Cuba to better connect to the international MS community and better serve the needs of people with MS in Cuba. The publications will be made available to the Cuban MS community as a lack of MS awareness is widespread in the country. During their time in Havana, Srs Perelló and Melero discussed further twinning activities to take place between the two societies in the coming months and years.
