As reported previously in Making Connections Analia travelled the world on her "Healing Trip" tour from 12 October to 23 November 2009. On her travels she spoke about her experiences of living with MS in Italy and raised awareness through national media coverage in Argentina, Spain and Italy.
She found out about the difficulties and stigma facing people with MS and the challenges of raising awareness, especially in Asia. The newly formed MS Society of Thailand gave Analia a very warm welcome and told her how people with MS are often bed-ridden because they can’t afford a wheelchair in which to move about. Her visit to China brought together people with MS who are part of an emerging MS society.
"I experienced a lot of love from people with MS across the world and I am proud to raise awareness about how MS is more than just the illness" said Analia, who hopes to write a book and make a documentary about her experiences.
