Agreement extends major MS database for world scientific community
A new contract between the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) and the Sylvia Lawry Centre for MS Research (SLC) in Munich will extend the availability of the most comprehensive database in the world to scientific study by researchers in the field.

2005 James D. Wolfensohn Award for International Person with MS
Every two years, the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) recognises the contribution of a person with MS in the fight against this debilitating disease. The James D. Wolfensohn Award is a travel grant to a person with MS and escort, for the purpose of attending the MSIF Biennial Council Meeting in recognition of their valuable contribution to the fight against MS. MSIF is pleased to announce that the 2005 award has been given to Izabela Odrobińska from Poland for her outstanding work in building the Polish MS Society and developing and strengthening the links between the local MS society and the international MS community.

UK Woman with MS Elected to Chair International Federation
Mrs Phillips, who has multiple sclerosis, has been chairman of the UK MS Society since 1998 and was a trustee for six years previously. She has been a member of the board of the International Federation since 1997.
