summary: In this 24-month, double-blind, randomised clinical trial, the efficacy of oral fingolimod relative to placebo in people with relapsing-remitting MS was investigated. As compared with placebo, oral fingolimod improved the relapse rate, the risk of disability progression, and MRI outcomes. However, further studies are needed to assess the safety and efficacy of oral fingolimod on the long term.
