  Interferon-beta therapy reduces CD4(+) and CD8(+) T-cell reactivity in multiple sclerosis

summary: The authors looked at the mechanism of action of interferon-beta in preventing relapses in MS. They found that it may work via a reduction in the number of immune cells in the bloodstream which are activated against the external layer of the neurons.
