summary: In this randomised trial the efficacy of IFNb-1b (Betaferon/Betaseron®) and glatiramer acetate (GA, Copaxone®) were compared. Seventy-five people with RRMS were included in the study. After a 2-year treatment period the authors found no differences between the 2 groups in terms of MRI activity (new lesions and enhancing lesions) and clinical activity (new relapses).
