Evidence for VAV2 and ZNF433 as susceptibility genes for multiple sclerosis

summary: Several studies are emerging to better understand the individual genetic susceptibility in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). The authors studied 592 people with MS and 825 healthy volunteers with a genome-wide specific genetic analysis. They were able to replicate the association of the HLA region with MS and also found evidence suggestive of an association of two new gene variants with MS.
