  Favorable effect of immunomodulator therapy on bone mineral density in multiple sclerosis

summary: Steroids, which are sometimes used to treat relapses in MS, can cause osteoporosis. The authors investigated the effect of beta-interferon and glatiramer on bone density. They found that these treatments prevent bone loss.
