  Higher levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D are associated with a lower incidence of multiple sclerosis only in women

summary: The pathogenesis of MS is complex and several environmental factors may be involved. This study found that higher levels of vitamin D in blood are associated with a lower risk of MS. Further studies are needed to clarify the clinical significance of this finding.
