Homogeneity of active demyelinating lesions in established multiple sclerosis.

summary: This post mortem study on 27 subjects with MS demonstrated a uniformity of immunopathological findings in brain lesions across subjects. To some extent this argues against a previous hypothesis that there are four separate immunopathological lesion types, with individual patients exhibiting only one type of lesion.
