  Identification of a novel risk locus for multiple sclerosis at 13q31.3 by a pooled genome-wide scan of 500,000 single nucleotide polymorphisms

summary: It is known that genes play a role in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis. In this study the authors found another region in the DNA, on chromosome 13, that may be linked to a higher risk of developing MS.
