IgG antibodies against measles, rubella, and varicella zoster virus predict conversion to multiple sclerosis in clinically isolated syndrome

summary: In this article the authors aimed to investigate whether antibodies against measles, rubella and varicella zoster, which may be found in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in people with MS, could be useful in predicting conversion to MS after a first episode suggestive of the disease. They found that people who had these antibodies in the CSF were more likely to develop relapsing-remitting MS after a first episode.
