Longitudinal magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging of primary progressive multiple sclerosis patients treated with glatiramer acetate: multicenter study.

summary: This analysis of a subgroup of patients from the PROMiSe trial (Trial of glatiramer acetate therapy in primary progressive MS) who underwent spectroscopy imaging showed that there was no differences in metabolite concentrations in the brains of patients who were treated with glatiramer acetate and those that were not. This suggests that treated patients did not derive any protection from the drug.
