summary: Interferon-beta therapy can be correlated with development of specific neutralising antibodies. Innate pattern recognition receptors play an important role in immune responses towards foreign substances and could be related to treatment outcome. The authors studied genetic variations in selected pattern receptors and determined the antibody formation in 567 prospectively followed Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis patients. They found an association between specific genetic loci and increase in interferon-beta neutralising antibodies.
