Polysomnographic measures of disturbed sleep are associated with reduced quality of life in multiple sclerosis.

summary: This interesting article from a Canadian research group evaluates the relationship between polysomnographic (PSG) parameters and health-related quality of life. The authors report analysis from 62 patients with MS, showing that PSG measures of sleep disruption were negatively associated (p<0.05) with Mental Component Summary (MCS) scores and that PSG parameters reflective of better sleep quality were positively associated with MCS scores.
