Preserved brain adaptive properties in patients with benign multiple sclerosis

summary: Clinical evolution may vary widely amongst people with MS and the reasons for this are not yet fully known. The authors observed, through the investigation of the sensorimotor network, that people with MS with a more benign evolution had patterns of brain activation very similar to healthy controls. The authors suggest that the long-term preservation of brain functional adaptive mechanisms play a key role in the development of a more favourable clinical evolution.
