  The effect of interferon-beta (1a) on relapses and progression of disability in patients with clinically isolated syndromes (CIS) suggestive of multiple sclerosis.

summary: This clinical trial evaluated the impact of interferon beta on the disease course in people with their first clinical episode suggestive of MS. They found it to be useful in delaying progression to disability and preventing some new relapses.
