  Validation of linear cerebral atrophy markers in multiple sclerosis

summary: The authors evaluated which MRI measures of enlargement of the ventricles of the brain were reliable metrics of brain volume loss in people with MS. They found that one of these measures was useful in monitoring brain volume loss over time.
