Dr Adnan Al-Araji

In December 2003, a Du Pré Grant was awarded to Dr Adnan Al-Araji from Iraq to visit the MS Clinic at the Neurology Department of the University of British Columbia, Canada.

'My research project helped improve my knowledge of how to plan and conduct research. I also worked as a clinical researcher in controlled trials of new medication for MS. This experience will help me provide better organisation of our MS Clinic in Baghdad and improve the medical service for our Iraqi colleagues for the final benefit of our patients.'

Currently Dr Al-Araji is working as a consultant neurologist and the clinical lead for the North Midland Regional MS Service based at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
