This edition incorporates the new information, especially as it relates to the treatment and management of MS attacks, symptoms, and the underlying disease. Information on studies of conventional and alternative approaches to therapies are collected and evaluated by the Cochrane Controlled Trials Register, which lists thousands of randomized controlled trials and has conducted hundreds of meta-analyses on these trials.
