Barcelona FC President, Sandro Rosell found time to show his support for the global MS movement on the eve of the European Champion’s league final on 28 May 2011. Rosell met with Peer Baneke, the CEO of MSIF in London on World MS Day.

Players and officials of Barcelona FC have highlighted the plight of people with MS, with star player Lionel Messi stating in the past that he thinks of people with MS when playing on the field.
This week MS organisations in 70 countries around the world, celebrate World MS Day, including Lionel Messi’s home country of Argentina.

The support of sports people and personalities is key to raising awareness about this disease, which affects people in the prime of their lives. Football is a global language and it’s great to have the support of Barcelona FC at this time.
